Details

Volunteer activities will be decided after consulting with leaders at the site.
(Again, volunteer activities may change depending on local needs.)

All you need to bring are daily clothes including long sleeves, a pen, personal hygiene items, towels, and a small bag to bring things for a day activity (waist pouch, daypack etc.)

*You don't need to bring special gears for activities such as long boots, masks, helmets and goggle. We will lend them to you at the site. Also, we will provide you with sleeping bags.

*Please try to avoid jeans pants as jeans are not easy to dry when it rains. Bring some long pants that will dry easily overnight. Short pants are not recommended as you may get insect bites easily outside.

*It may be hot during the day, but will be cool or chilly at night. Also it may rain or storm. Rain boots and raincoats are available on site.
◆Language
ACC21 staff member who speaks both English and Japanese will accompany you during the volunteer trip in most cases. Therefore, even if you cannot speak Japanese well, it is not a big problem as far as you can communicate in English.
Please be noted that some of the volunteer activities require certain level of Japanese or English proficiency.

◆Basic Volunteer Insurance
ACC21 will buy the required volunteer insurance for all participants.
Also we will require copies of your passport/student ID/telephone number to refer to in case of emergency

◆Consent Form or Parental/Guardian Consent Form
ACC21 will require all the participants to fill out the "Volunteer Consent Form" at the orientation.
If you are under 20 years old, we will also require the written consent of a parent or guardian in advance.

◆We will ask you to submit one page report after the program.

◆With your consent, we may introduce you and your volunteer efforts on our website.

◆This program is planned particularly for Asian students who want to be a bridge between their country and the Japanese people. The participation fee was set low on that basis.
