In fiscal 2011, the Tohoku Volunteer Program had 101 participants (99 student volunteers and 2 special participants) coming from 15 Asian countries. The Tohoku Volunteer Program dispatched students from different Asian countries studying in Japan to do volunteer work at the Tohoku region. The aim is to foster ties among Asian students and those affected by the earthquake.
Please read the message from the volunteers.
