The J. Kawakami Memorial Trust for Education and Culture (hereinafter written “the Kawakami trust”) was established in 1978 in honor of the legacy of the late Jinzo Kawakami for the purpose of the improvement of international cultural and educational standards, thereby contributing to goodwill between Japan and other countries and to the improvement of international cultural and educational standards.
The Kawakami Fund provides scholarships or research grants to local NGOs, educational, academic or cultural research institutions, primarily to contribute to the improvement of international cultural and educational standards in developing countries.

Executive Advisory Committee
